The new Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS is a fifth wheel trailer under 15000 lbs (dry weight: 14,835 lbs.) and has a gross weight of almost 18,000 lbs. It has enough space for up to 6 people to sleep. Almost forty-five feet long overall (44′ 5″) on this 38FLGS.
This 38FLGS fifth wheel has a simple and very practical floor plan. Imagine it separated into 3 parts along its structure. A living room with an entertainment area in the front, a spacious central kitchen in the middle with a half bath, and the rear master king bedroom with a full bath en suite.

2023 Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS Floor Plan Review
Let’s go inside and have a look at this Pinnacle 38FLGS.
As you can see on the floor plan below, this model has a griddle outside and a central kitchen inside. Outside, you will find 4 storage compartments distributed across the fifth wheel trailer, and 2 large awnings (14 ft long) providing shadow to the entry door side.

The 2023 Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS has 4 slides out. I suggest adding the 4 options awnings for each slide out to protect the awning mechanisms and prevent failure. If you decide to go on with this upgrade, estimate approx. USD 2,000 more than the base price.
At the right of the entry door, you will find a central kitchen with an island preparation for cooking. A cooking prep area is always pretty precious in an RV, and the Pinnacle 38FLGS is well-prepared. The 2023 appliance package is consistent with 2022. However, furniture is rearranged, and some are upgraded, like the solid-surface kitchen countertop with a large single stainless steel sink and pull-out kitchen faucet.
In the kitchen area of the 38FLGS, there is a residential refrigerator with an ice maker and 1800W pure sine wave inverter (optional 18-cu. ft. refrigerator), a four-burner residential 24″ stove with oven, and a 30″ residential microwave oven.
For the 2023 Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS model, there are drawers, compartments, and cabinets everywhere, including a pantry. The pantry includes motion sensor lights. All the doors and drawers are solid wood, with improved guides and silent closing.
The Pinnacle 38FLGS truly has a big central kitchen. You cannot find the typical boot dinette in this fifth wheel. The dining table is located in the central kitchen, having an extendable sliding table top. Diners can watch the 32” 4K Smart LED TV.
Also, in this central part of the Pinnacle 38FLGS, there is a half-bath equipped with a porcelain toilet, a hand basin, and a mirror.
If you continue walking to the right in the direction of the front of the 2023 Pinnacle 38FLGS, you will find one of the biggest RV living rooms on the market, equipped with 3 tri-fold sofas and double theater seats.
In the entertainment center area, the Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS is equipped with a 50” 4K SMART LED HDTV, a wireless remote-control system including Bluetooth, and a fireplace.
The Pinnacle 38FLGS is equipped with a digital TV antenna with a Wi-Fi extender, and AM-FM.
To the left of the entry door, you will find the master bedroom with a big dry bathroom ensuite, fully equipped and large.
The master bedroom is located in the back of this 38FLGS, opposite the living room. There is a king bed (72″x 80″) and a walk-in closet. The closet is prepared for the washer and dryer.
If you prefer, you can replace the king bed with a queen bed (60″x 80″) with a foam mattress. Regarding the space inside the bedroom, I believe it is suitable and comfortable for a king bed.
The Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS master bathroom is one of the nicest spacious bathrooms on the current market.
The toilet bowl is porcelain and it is foot flushable. The walk-in shower has a tub, a teak seat (that folds up and down), a skylight, shampoo and conditioner holders, and hard glass sliding curtains. For 2023, all of the shower fixtures are matte black and the shower head is larger than in previous years. Also, you can adjust up and down.

Pinnacle 38FLGS vs. North Point 382FLRB
2023 Jayco Pinnacle 38FLGS has a starting price of $137,543 MSRP (USD), while 2023 Jayco North Point 382FLRB, with the SAME FLOOR PLAN, has a starting price of $126,143 (USD).
What are the differences between Pinnacle and North Point? Is it worth paying the Pinnacle’s extra cost?
- The wide body between Pinnacle and North Point is different. Pinnacle floorplans are always more spacious. North Point 382FLRB’s wide body is 96″, while Pinnacle 38FLGS’s wide body is 102″
- If you look at the back of these two fifth wheels, Pinnacle 38FLGS has a molded rear cap, more similar to a class A motorhome. However, North Point 382FLRB is more like a flat wall.
- Another difference between North Point vs. Pinnacle is the power cord system. In North Point models, the power cord is detachable. The Pinnacle is equipped with a reel.
- Regarding the windows, North Point is equipped only with nightshades. Pinnacle has night and day shades. Also, Pinnacle windows are bigger than North Point.
- Countertops and cabinet materials are of higher quality in Pinnacle models.
- Lastly, for a price, only on Pinnacle models you can paint the full body.
